"MARGARET KELLER :
became well known to Australian audiences as a "Showcase 1968" Grand Finalist and member of the Showcase Roadshow. She has appeared on more than 100 television shows in Tasmania on TVT6 as hostess/vocalist and has been seen elsewhere in Australia on IMT, Adelaide Tonight and The Country and Western Hour.
Margaret was born in (Kanpur) India (of Austrian and Australian parents) and lived there until 1956 when the family moved to Elizabethville in the (French-speaking) Belgian Congo. After the Congo became independent in 1959, they had a very exciting and dangerous time. In escaping, the family was split up, and it was not until several months later that they were reunited in Salisbury.
They then moved to Maitland, New South Wales. When Margaret's father died, she, her mother and sister decided to settle in Hobart.
After Mrs Keller's death, the two girls lived together in Hobart. Now, with her sister overseas, Margaret has moved to Sydney where she is singing professionally around the city's nightspots and Clubland.
Margaret, who learnt singing for two years and accompanies herself on guitar, speaks French and German fluently and "a few words of Hindustani and Swahili". She is 18 years old, is a petite 5'5", has brown hair and eyes.
She wrote the song "The Garden of Silence" featured with "Dominique" on this record, the latter being the song which helped her into the grand finals of Showcase.
"The One To Love You" and "Johnny" were both written by Margaret's cousin, John Keller, 20, who lives in Sydney and is currently at the Conservatorium. He is a very fine and talented pianist completing his final two years of music which were previously postponed so that he could complete his engineering degree. " ..... COVER NOTES

(MARGARET) LOUISE KELLER

Louise was previously a professional singer for 14 years (Margaret Keller), and a children’s television hostess. A regular on Brian Henderson’s Bandstand, Barry Crocker’s Sound of Music, Graham Kennedy’s IMT and the Mike Walsh Show, career highlights include entertaining Australian and American troops in Vietnam (one of the first visits to combat troops operating in the field), singing at the Opera House and Sydney Entertainment Centre with Tommy Tycho’s orchestra, a 2-year stint singing with the John Ferguson Big Band, plus concert and club appearances around Australia. "
"SISTER SMILE" :
A (film) biography of the Belgian nun Jeannine Deckers, who became a popular singer in the early 1960s and struggled with the contradiction between the church and her true self was released in 2009 (Director, Stijn Coninx).
(Margaret) Louise Keller reviewed the film :
"It was quite a few years ago that as a 16 year old schoolgirl, I got my first break singing, which led to a 16 year professional singing career. That break was on a national TV talent quest called Showcase, produced by the formidable Hector Crawford and compered by the debonair English singing star Gordon Boyd. Accompanied by my guitar, the song I sang in French and English was Dominique - the one made famous by the subject of this biopic. "
