Description
Sara 67119 - Marge Dudeck, "Prancer's Got The Red Spots" b/w "Silver Bells" , US-issued 45 RPM record with picture sleeve. Record is VG++ to near mint condition with minimal evidence of handling or use. Very slight scuffs. The sleeve is in VG+ to VG++ condition with minor evidence of handling and storage. Sleeve is flat and crisp with no writing, rings or tears. Very slight top lip crinkles and minor edge push.
Cool 1967 Christmas classic on Sara, on of Cuca's local labels. Marge lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from 1962-64 where she met record producer Art Kassner. After moving back to her native South Bend, Indiana, the story goes that that is where Kassner went to produce the song previously recorded by the Tempests and the Shades on Indiana's Fujimo label. Apparently the song writer, Frank Konn, had heard Marge sing at Eddie's Restaurant in South Bend and presented the song to Marge.
Great vocals and way-cool holiday artwork on the sleeve.
