Label - Issue Number : More Informal Sessions - MIS 1 (Copy number 16 of 35 only issued to the public)
Notes: This is an extremely rare privately recorded and issued LP documenting an informal get together at the Washington DC residence of Squirrel Ashcraft who was renowned for hosting numerous Jazz Parties at his homes starting back in 1935 in Chicago. Squirrel usually had these parties recorded and it was agreed upon by Squirrel and Hank O'Neal to make some of the wonderful music from May 1, 1966 available on a very limited basis. These are fine informal performances by all of the artists listed above. As noted in the photo, only 35 copies were made available to the general public so indeed this is a very hard to find item.
Disc Condition: The disc is in overall Excellent Minus (E-) condition with some scuffs and is a very clean player despite the appearance of the jacket it has been stored in. The B side label has a very small tear around the post hole (see photo).
Album Cover Condition - As you can see from the photos, the cover has significant wear with foxing, stains, ring wear, corner dings, small creases and a small split bottom seam. Despite these deficiencies it has protected the record well as described above.
