·       MARIANNE FAITHFULL – GO AWAY FROM MY WORLD (TEST PRESSING OF THE UNRELEASED U.K. VERSION OF THE ALBUM WHICH WAS ABANDONED AND NEVER RELEASED) – RARE ORIGINAL BRITISH PRESSING - ORIGINAL 1966  DECCA RECORDS (UK) STEREO LP ZAL-7033/PS-452 (THE LABELS BEAR BOTH U.S. CATALOG NUMBER AND THE UNRELEASED U.K. MATRIX NUMBER (ZAL-7033), MAKING THIS  TEST PRESSING ONE HELLUVA BIZARRE ITEM: A BRITISH TEST PRESSING OF THE AMERICAN ALBUM NEVER RELEASED IN THE U.K.! . IT APPEARS THAT THE BRITISH COUNTERPART OF U.S. LONDON LABEL (DECCA) WAS AT ONE CONTEMPLATING RELEASING  THE ALBUM IN THE U.K. BUT ULTIMATELY ABANDONED THE IDEA.  THE ALBUM HAS 12 TRACKS AND IS APPARENTLY A MIRROR IMAGE OF THE RELEASED U.S. VERSION, SINCE BRITISH ALBUMS AT THE TIME TYPICALLY HAD 14 TRACKS

·       ORIGINAL U.K. PRESSING

*** INSANELY RARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL FIRST UK TEST PRESSING ***

·       ORIGINAL DARK BLUE DECCA TEST PRESSING LABEL, USED SOLELY FOR UK REFERENCE AND TEST PRESSINGS

·       DEEP GROOVE PRESSING

·       THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC, FIRST U.K. TEST PRESSING; THIS IS NOT A REISSUE, AN IMPORT, OR A COUNTERFEIT PRESSING.

·       CLEAN, WEAR-FREE LABELS; ALBUM ARTIST AND TITLE AND OTHER TECHNICAL DETAILS ARE WRITTEN ON THE LABELS, BUT ARE BARELY VISIBLE AND HAVE TO BE LOOKED UNDER CERTAIN ANGLE TO NOTICE

·       THICK, HEAVY VINYL PRESSING

·       MACHINE-STAMPED MATRIX NUMBER IN TRAIL-OFF VINYL (DEAD WAX) OF THE RECORD

·       MATRIX NUMBER IN TRAIL-OFF VINYL (DEAD WAX) ENDS WITH '-1W/-1W'.  ON SOME LABELS,  SUFFIX '–1' DENOTES THE VERY FIRST, ORIGINAL PRESSING)

·       THE MATRIX NUMBER IN THE TRAIL-OFF VINYL (DEAD WAX) OF THE RECORD IS CONSISTENT WITH THE ORIGINAL, FIRST, 1966 PRESSING OF THIS ALBUM; THIS IS NOT, REPEAT: NOT A TEST PRESSING OF ONE OF THE SUBSEQUENT REISSUES OR REMASTERS.

(►PLEASE SEE THE IMAGE OF THE COVER, LABEL OR BOTH, SHOWN BELOW)

(Note: this is a REAL image of the ACTUAL item you are bidding on. This is NOT a "recycled" image from our previous auction. What you see is what you’ll get.  GUARANTEED!)

Amazing !!! An unbelievable piece: What we have here is an unheard-of TEST PRESSING of the great british folk chanteuse and Mick Jagger's confidante's UNRELEASED IN THE U.K. third album (the album is rumored to include some of the Stones, but the rumor could not be independently verified).  While many test pressings often have alternate or demo- versions of known, later released songs, and while it is possible that this particular test pressing contains demo or alternate versions of some of the tracks,  we simply don't know, because the record is technically still sealed, and can't tell.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS TEST PRESSING APPARENTLY NEVER HAD A CUSTOM COVER;  THE ALBUM WILL BE SHIPPED IN A PLAIN, GENERIC [WHITE] CARDBOARD COVER. TEST PRESSINGS ARE RARELY – IF EVER – FOUND IN CUSTOM (STOCK) COVERS

Go Away from My World is the third studio album by Marianne Faithfull. It was released only in the United States. Andrew Loog Oldham was the Executive Producer with David Bailey and Gered Mankowitz credited for the photography.

The song "Come My Way" had been released on a previous album and only in the United Kingdom, however the version released on that album is from a different session and is a considerably different performance than that included here..

·                               CONDITION:

·                               RECORD

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).

(c)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)            The record comes in a poly-lined "Made in England" inner sleeve, which has - apparently with success - shielded the vinyl from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

THIS TEST PRESSING COMES WITHOUT ANY CUSTOM JACKET AND WILL BE SHIPPED IN PLAIN, GENERIC, WHITE COVER (NOT SEPARATELY GRADED, BUT IN A VERY NICE CONDITION OVERALL
