Description
MARIE LITTLE – Marie Little * ORIG Trailer LP * LER 2084 (UK, Stereo, 1973)
Here’s the second album from this very talented folk singer from the North of England. Some superb songs on this LP – her only collection for the Trailer label and currently unavailable in any other format. This original from 1973 is in superb condition (both fragile sleeve and vinyl).
The single format, lightly textured, non-laminated sleeve is in a true EX+ (Excellent Plus) condition. One (just one) light crease to the front is all I can find to tell you about. Possibly slight rubbing to the bottom edge too but that’s it. Lies nice and flat, no ring wear, strong and sharp corners, no splits, tears or writing. Great clear spine, not compressed, all text fully legible. Sharp opening edges with no feathering. Real top example of this close to 40 year old sleeve which should surely please the most stringent collector. Brilliant!
The original red Trailer labels are just fine – slight handling evidence when held up to the light but no writing, scrapes or tears (see photos). I can’t detect any spindle traces either.
The medium weight vinyl is a beauty. No hairlines, scuffs or embedded dirt. Definitely no scratches. Superb shine. Basically looks like it’s just been brought home from the shop. Grades M- (Mint Minus) visually. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays impeccably. No snap, crackle or pop, no hiss, distortion, tick or clicks. Superb quiet audio which, of course, is just what is required for a delicate folk album such as this. Will surely please. Nothing to impede on either side. Play grade matches the visual one. Lovely!
I also have Marie’s ‘My El Dorado’ LP listed at the moment in a similar condition. Please take a look.
No reserve.
