This very rare, long out of print, and extremely difficult to find vinyl album, was released in 1994. It is somewhat of a masterpiece of a concept album! The album is a 12-track vinyl 2-LP set, in a gate fold sleeve. It features a double groove on the B side of the 2nd LP. The first groove plays “The great escape” as on the CD version, followed by “Made Again”. The second groove plays “The Great Escape (Spiral remake) and 20 mins of water sounds therefore creating 2 different endings to the story.
IT WAS RELEASED IN VERY LIMITED QUANTITY, SO VERY SCARCE INDEED.
I haven’t had a record player for 10 years so condition is by eye.
The front cover is in very good condition, with only minor scuffs on the edges, and ( if i'm being picky) a small 1cm crease on the front close to the spine. (as shown in photo 3)
The interior of the gate fold is in very good condition, with just 1 small area of imperfection (It was like this when I bought it new- it's as if the ink wasn't 100% dry when the gate fold was closed and a tiny area stuck.)
The back of the sleeve looks in excellent condition with no imperfections.
The 2 vinyl albums appear to be in excellent condition. I have inspected them in full sunlight and did not observe any scratches on either album.
I have been a careful vinyl collector and only played this album to record to tape.
It’s a gorgeous, sought after album.
Raw ranked Brave as one of the 20 greatest albums of 1994.
In 2000 it was selected by Classic Rock as one of the "30 Best Albums of the 90s", and in 2003 as one of "Rock's 30 Greatest Concept Albums".
