This early press plays to a superb standard as described below.

The audio on S1 is Mint-

The audio on S2 is Mint- (last 5 seconds of 'Chelsea Monday' is VG+)

The cover is Ex near Ex+

The labels are Near Mint

The inner sleeve is Ex

Visual grading

It has been superbly looked after.  Yes there is some spindle wear but the record has obviously been very carefully handled as it retains a fantastic glossy sheen even after all these years.  There are no scratches and visually this is possibly the best 'Script' I have ever seen.  There are no obvious hairlines or scratches at all.  Simply stunning.

Play grading

The classic title track starts with supreme audio and barely any static.  It then proceeds to play with stunning clarity and depth of sound.  I don't think I've heard better, a blistering start!  The other two tracks on this side play as Mint the quality they possess is just impeccable.

'Garden Party' also starts so quietly with hardly any 'background' which is so rare for a vinyl of this age and then plays with astounding quality.  This side again displays a depth and clarity that is sublime.  There are three dull pops literally at the end of 'Chelsea Monday' but that is the only negative.  I can see the speck causing it but just cannot remove it!  'Forgotten Sons' plays as Mint the power and range is stunning.

The cover

The gatefold has a small amount of shelf wear.  A handful of rub marks on the edges and some minor rubbing on the corners which is more noticeable on the bottom right but aside from that it is very clean indeed.  There are no markings and the opening edge has no handling wear.  The inside is in superb condition.

The labels & Inner Sleeve

The labels are in perfect condition with only some spindle wear.  The inner has no splits just some creasing.
