Marlene Dietrich in her famous 1933 Paris recording session with Peter Kreuder and his Orch
1933 "Allein in einer Grossen Stadt" "Mein Blondes Baby" Polydor 530001 Orchestra: Peter Kreuder."Mein Blondes Baby" w Kreuder at the Piano is a joyful song dedicated to her daughter Maria Elisabeth
Allein in einer Grossen Stadt w the Kreuder Orchestra is a dark song about loneliness and sexual desire in the anonymous city
1932 "Jonny" "Peter" Ultraphon/ TelefunkenA 887 Orchestra: Peter Kreuder. really great jungle style (Jonny)jazz arangements by Peter Kreuder and his orchestra.
And Marlene singing very graphic torch songs. (Hear Marlenes rapture over JONNY !!!) I looked them up once, and they were recorded in Germany before Marlene went to Hollywood
Jonny:
Let me narrate some of the lyrics:
"Jonny, when its your birthday,
I will stay with you all night.
Jonny, I dream so much about you
will you come to me
in the afternoon at 3 thirty three.
Jonny, when your strong arms embrace me
Jonny, Jonny ..."
What then follows is her exstactic rapture, supported by a very suggestive sax. Other than May West's sounds in "I like the man who takes it slow" ,
there is nothing comparable on the record.
Peter is about wrongfully dumping a pet-boyfried:
How could I do the idiocy to dump my good Peter, who never did me any wrong?
When I said: "Peter I was unfaithful" Peter said:"I am happy if you enjoyed it."
When I called him at night loud and raw on the telephone:"Peter I have no cigarettes!" "Don't worry, Schatz, I'll bring them right on".
But I strayed to other men, said Adieu to Peterchen, who never did me anywrong.
Peeter, Peeter, please come back to me. You were my best piece.
Peeter, Peeter, I was so mean to you, once I realized what I lost".
1932 "Wo ist der Mann" "Ja, So bin Ich" Polydor
530002 Freddy Johnson and his Jazzers, cond Peter Kreuder.
3x10" 78 Rpm records issued in US by VOX Records w original album and notes
Condition: EXCELLENT minus rare scuffs Plays very quiet rare spots of fuzzy distortion. Album solid, edges rubbed.
Kreuder was an assistant to Friedrich
Hollaender at the end of the twenties; he may
be the piano player in the screen test for ”The
Blue Angel” as it is surely not Friedrich
Hollaender.
Kreuder did compose a lot of filmmusic in the
thirties for german film comedies. As he was
not in danger he felt no need to emigrate;
however he went to Hollywood for some time in
the early thirties but came back disappointed.
Peter Kreuder stayed in contact with Marlene at
least till 1937 when he was in Paris to record
songs with her. Herbert Grenzebach of
Telefunken records, who previously
supervised the recordings of “Jonny” and
“Peter” at Ultraphon 1931, tried to re-establish
the contact to Marlene in 1936. In a letter dated
May 4th 1936 he proposed to record songs for
Telefunken with Peter Kreuder. It is interesting
to note that he writes: “If you should not come
Allein in einer großen Stadt (1933: 01) and
Mein blondes Baby (1933:07) were published
on Polydor 530 001; but what was the flip side
of Ja so bin ich (1933: 02)? Was it Wo ist der
Mann (1933: 03)?
Assez (1933 : 04) and Moi je m‘ennui
(1933 :06) came out again on Polydor.

A Quick NOTE ON GRADING AND SHIPPING:
As you can see from my feedback, I try hard to earn your POSITIVE FEEDBACK and FIVE STAR RATINGS.
If for any reason your transaction was NOT SATISFACTORY, pls contact me and I will work something out with you. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A REASON TO GIVE ME A NEGATIVE RATING or a LOW STAR RATING.
Quick note on grading:
The Grade (Excellent to Poor, I don't give Mint) refers to the WEAR of the record. Any other defects are stated separately
When I listen to a record, I may also give it an aural grade (again E to P), and make a SUBJECTIVE judgment of the pressing quality for hiss and surface noise.
"SUPERQUIET" is basically noiseless, like a vinyl pressing.
"VERY QUIET" is an exceptionally quiet record for a given pressing.
"Quiet" is a record that is a great example without undue noise for a give pressing.
These judgments are SUBJECTIVE and will depend one the styli, phonograph etc. you use on your own equipment.
Pls check my other auctions for more great records and phonograph items:

2 records: 6.00$
5 records: 7.50$
10 records: 10.00$
MANY MORE RECORDS: Don't worry. I safely ship 40 - 50 pounds of records double boxed in moving boxes, and even then Media Mail will probably not exceed 35$.
Please send me a message if you would like to lower your shipping rates!
