Description

MARTHA ARGERICH "Piano Recital” EX/NM DGG SLPM 138 672 RED STEREO - TULIPS - 1ST
For collectors of vinyl releases by the sensational pianist Martha Argerich, here is the ultimate rarity Holy Grail:  the first pressing of her debut LP, in wonderful condition, with the coveted blue dress / RED STEREO cover!
A wonderful copy of the very rare first press of this album, with original cover photo of Martha Argerich in a blue dress. The LP looks pristine: it comes in the original inner sleeve, and looks to be unplayed. Jacket has slight chipping along edges + mild signs of bending upper right, upper left, and left side along the areas where LP sits — the thin jacket seems prone to such issues. Spine looks great. Some yellowing + light ringwear on jacket back.
Looking back through all copies sold (at prices near or above $1,000) over the past few years, this is every bit the equal of those copies. Release 11/61
We recommend using a high-level record cleaning machine before playback to ensure greatest enjoyment. We also do not clean records before shipping them, as that is a very personal process for collectors of rare LPs, and which we therefore prefer to leave to the new owner of a rare LP.
This LP is also listed elsewhere. If it sells there, we will immediately remove this listing.
