MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS, Watch Out !, 1G/1G, original UK 1966 mono Tamla Motown LP.
TML 11051, earliest original black and silver UK Tamla Motown record labels.
A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:
1. each side of the record features the earliest ‘mother/ stampers' of, '1G/1G', making this record one of the very first of 300 copies to be pressed,
2. earliest UK mono record matrix of: TML 11051 A 1G / TML 11051 B 1G,
3. earliest UK Tamla Motown record labels featuring the text, ‘Sold in UK’, etc,
4. earliest UK tri ‘flip back’ sleeve made of the period quality ‘thicker’ card,
5. comes with its original UK EMI period, ‘Patents applied for' inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the sleeve is laminated on the front. The spine is in very good+ condition and has remained clean and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK 1960s period, tri ‘flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the top and bottom centre edges there is 60mm of wear. On the rear top, left there is an original hand written price of, '37/5' written in pencil.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original UK EMI period ‘Patents applied for' inner sleeve. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a slight 'split' to the bottom edge and to one side edge.
THE RECORD: side one is in good++ condition and side two is in very good condition. The record is made of the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl.
The records matrix is: TML 11051 A 1G and TML 11051 B 1G, the earliest UK mono matrix,
The mother / stampers are: ‘1 G’ and ‘1 G’, the earliest ‘mother/stampers' you can have, making this record one of the very first of 300 copies to be 'pressed'.
THE AUDIO: side one plays very good, side one play with some ‘ticks’ and ‘crackle’ heard here and there. Side two plays very good+, side two plays with some 'ticks’ and ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound.
THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in very good+ condition, side two is in very good condition. On side one the letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
