MARTHA VELEZ ‘FIENDS & ANGELS’ 1969 LONDON VINYL LP

This is a truly wonderful example of late 60's UK Blues rock. Martha Velez is actually a Puerto Rican American but this is an album produced by Mike Vernon (Blue Horizon) and released on the London (Decca) label.

Martha Velez was trained as an opera singer (proof on track 5!) but she uses her voice to good effect on a varied selection of bluesy numbers.  It would be hard to find a bigger collection of UK blues greats backing her, including not only guitarists Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff, Stan Webb and Spit James, but other brilliant musicians, such as Jack Bruce, Mitch Mitchell, Christine Perfect and a vast array of notable UK saxophonists.

Sleeve is Ex-, vinyl is VG with only light marking and no actual damage to the record.  Plays well, albeit with a few crackles here and there.
