From my personal collection.......hard-to-find original French mono first-pressing from one of France's greatest Jazz pianists & composers.

An incredible bop pianist with a technique that hints at elements of Art Tatum and Bud Powell, the Algerian-born Martial Solal was well-known in France, and he had already recorded in Newport by the time of this release, yet this rare set was never released in North America.

All Music Guide:  " French pianist, composer, and bandleader Martial Solal's intuitive approach to improvisation has earned him an honored place among the greatest minds in all of jazz.  "

Martial Solal (piano),  Gilbert Rovère (bass),  Charles Bellonzi (drums)
