Description

Johanna Martzy plays the Bach Sonata No. 3  and Partita No. 2 (Ciaccona) for violin solo. One of the holy grails of violin music. Superb performances (one of the best)!!!.

Columbia CX UK orginal blue/gold label. Made in England. Cat. 33 CX 1287. Orginal scalloped flipback cover (see picture) EX (some shelfwear on the spine) Record VG++ ( a very small mark cause 15 not loud tics. This is a bit dirty pressing that cause now and than for a moment, 1-3 seconds, very, very soft crackles/clicks. On one place for 7 seconds.) The record is probably never played. No spindle marks. No distorsion in sound and backgroudnoises). Note this record is graded with the Avid/Hadcock/Grado stereo combination. This combination is very sensitive to tics and backgroudnoises. With a mono cartridge the crackles/clicks are probably inaudible, anyway almost).

Note for bidders from the USA: I'am forced to offer a shipping rate of 4.00 US$ to the US. Regardless the residence and weight of the package. I live in the Netherlands. This mean that this rate by far does not cover the actual costs. Would you send a package p.e. of 2 kg (well packed) by airmail to Europe or this price?. Of course I'am also not willing to do so.
