Description
From the personal archive of noted James Brown historian Alan Leeds.
Interestingly, the majority of this album was recorded at Memorial Auditorium in Dallas rather than the Apollo. Marva was Brown's best known support act at the time and he joins her in a totally funky, extended version of "YOU GOT TO HAVE A JOB". Recorded in 1968, the performances feature Brown's elite band which included arranger Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis, Maceo Parker, guitarists Jimmy Nolen and Alfonzo Kellum, bassist Sweet Charles Sherrell and drummer Clyde Stubblefield.
