*THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION*
This is the rare original first white label globes pressing of the Marvelettes, "Playboy," on Tamla 231 released in 1962. White label pressings are very rare for this LP, as Tamla was changing its labels to yellow when this LP was released. The Marvelettes were Motown's premier female girl group before the Supremes came into prominence. They competed against groups such as the Shirelles and the Ronnettes.
VINYL
With full & very shiny gloss and great deep groove high fidelity, this LP grades EX/VG with a few very light hairline scuffs on side one that in no way affect play, but one scratch on side two causes a faint tick for about five revolutions on track one, which does not overpower the music.
COVER
This is just a throw-in and is only in Fair condition. Photos speak louder than words.
This LP is difficult to find in any condition, so don't let this very rare original gem at a low starting bid and a no reserve pass you by!! I am a conservative careful grader (check my feedback) who guarantees (for 14 days after auction is over) everything I sell.
