Beautiful 1971 UK Motown 1st Pressing 'What's Going On' by Marvin Gaye!! On 1st Press Black/Silver Motown Labels & Complete with UK 1st Press Textured Garrod & Lofthouse Sleeve & Original Lyric Insert!!! A Rare UK 1st Pressing in Stunning Condition From My Own Keepers Collection!!!

You are bidding on another essential UK 1st pressing from my mostly Nr Mint UK Psych/Prog/Soul collection.  Here we have awesome original 1971 UK 1st Pressing of this all-time classic Soul LP by Marvin Gaye!!! What sets this particular copy aside from virtually all others is its outstanding condition!!! Original copies of this legendary LP just do not turn up like this anymore! This is one of the very best examples you will EVER see of this super rare UK 1st pressing!!! It has been archived in my own personal Nr Mint collection for almost 30 years!!! A stunning record suitable for the highest grade Soul collection!!! The cool 1970's quality pressed vinyl is in pristine condition and shines with a 'just pressed' look and feel, it really looks as if this record came off the press yesterday!!!  Please see below for a detailed description. This LP is in Pristine throughout!!! The Classic 1st press black/silver Motown labels are in stunning Nr Mint condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind. The gramophone rims are also obviously mint!!! As described above - the vinyl itself is in Pristine condition. You will have to look hard to find a better looking copy. It has NO Scratches, NO Groovewear & NO Warping! The playing surfaces are totally blemish-free, save for the faintest small hairline toward the end of side one (only visible when angling the record against light-and totally non-sounding). This record looks and grades as Excellent+! I have to keep reminding myself that I am describing a 35 year old record here, not one made last week!!!  These 1st pressings were straight from the masters and nothing even gets close to them today. They play with a very loud punchy but also deep clear warm chiming clarity; pure Motown as it was originally made to sound. This is the best vinyl pressing you will hear and is far superior to the later and much more common  late 1970's and early 1980's flimsy repressings; this is the original 1971 UK 1st pressing. Absolutely beautiful!!!

The classic 1st press textured Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is also in absolutely beautiful condition!!! What is so amazing about this sleeve is that the textured surfaces are in beautifully preserved condition, it is very rare like this. The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NO RING WEAR and NO faults at all and it retains all of its box shape with a Mint strong spine with Mint legible spine text!!! It has no unwanted scribbles/repairs/grubbiness etc This is a superb-looking sleeve; one of the very best examples you will probably see!!! I have no hesitation in grading is as Excellent+!!! Of course, the LP comes with its Original lyric insert which is also in unmarked Ex condition with no scribbles/creases/grubbiness etc. I have tried to show you the record from all angles using extra large images. Please check out my feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price!  This is seen by many as one of the best soul records ever made -  and UK 1st press copies in such stunning condition are in very high demand today. It has recently been pointed out to me that some eBay sellers have been using my images without permission. If you are thinking of lifting a picture or two from my pages - don't. You will be reported and your auction will be removed by eBay. It's not that I mind, in fact its kinda flattering, my real problem is that whoever does this is not showing a true image of the actual record they are selling. The condition of old 1960's & 70's records varies greatly, no two are in exactly the same condition when they are this age. All my pictures are very specific to the actual records I sell and it is wholly misleading to to show these images with reference to a different record. Thanks.

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure.
