MARVIN GAYE - THAT STUBBORN KINDA FELLOW LP - ORIGINAL on the TAMLA label TM-239 MONO [US '63]. COVER IS VG+ w/ some light shelfwear. RECORD IS VG++/M- nearly perfect!

Rare in any shape or format, this, Marvin Gaye’s second album from 1963, combines some of his most soulful, passionate and intense vocalizing, gospel-drenched arrangements and phrasing and none other than Martha Reeves & the Vandellas on backing vocals for maximum effect. The original pressing of this album is obscenely hard to find, and the CD reissue of the album almost as tough to get. This may be your only chance to complete your Marvin Gaye collection or grab this wonderful - probably the best - Marvin Gaye album (with the exception of "What’s going on" , of course). The songs are: Hitch hike (later kidnapped by The Sonics, Velvet Underground and many other white garage bands) - Soldier’s plea - I’m yours, you’re mine - Hello there angel - Get my hands on some lovin’ - Taking my time - Pride and Joy - Whenever I lay my hat - It hurt me, too - Stubborn kind of fellow.
