Very rare original 1971 U.S. Tamla Records 'DJ COPY - NOT FOR SALE' issue, of one of the best soul albums ever recorded. Comes in a plain white carboard jacket. The vinyl has 'TS-310' etched into the dead wax on both sides, indicating that is was pressed at RCA, Indianapolis. This is such a great copy too, may be some time before another copy of this advance U.S. DJ issue comes along as nice as this one on offer here.
The vinyl has a excellent clean glossy sheen. There are no bad surface marks or scratches at all. Just a few of the lightest top surface lines, & only shows light signs of careful play. Only ever very lightly & carefully played, & so all tracks play & sound excellent throughout, with very little surface noise, & there is no lessening in the clean & clear audio / sound quality. Just a very nice looking, playing & sounding vinyl album.
The labels are in nice condition. Side 1 is excellent & clean & bright. Side 2 has just a little minor age discolouration, nothing bad at all (please see pics).
The outer white card cover, & white paper inner sleeve, are both in excellent clean condition. No marks, rips or splits. Both in great shape.
This is a UK auction only. I pack my items very well. I only use Royal Mail (no exceptions). I usually always post the same or next day after payment is received. Royal Mail tracked & signed is £5.88.
Sorry about what seems like a high postage costs, ebay has just put their postal prices up on higher priced items, this is out of my hands.
I am currently selling a very large collection of around 1500 vinyl albums & 12 inches, most of which are Soul, Disco, & Funk related. Almost all are in really excellent clean playing condition, many look to have never even been played. The collection consists of many original sealed items, including many original U.S. Motown albums, also, loads of demo's, promo's, & test pressings, & many other Soul related obscurities & rarities. It's going to take a good while to list them all, so you may wish to keep popping back to check on my items, as there are loads of unopened boxes that I still have to go through.
