Description

Here is rare find for your consideration.

You are bidding on a copy of Marvin Rainwater's 1965 45 RPM release of "The Black Sheep" b/w "Indian Burial Ground", United Artists UA 917.

What makes this offering unique is that the UA factory sleeve was signed in ballpoint by Rainwater, and with it you will also receive a napkin from a Browns Mills, NJ Italian restaurant that is also signed by Rainwater.  He signed both as "Marv".

The writing on the sleeve is hard to read due to the bright color and checkerboard pattern, so I am including a black and white copy of the picture which is much easier to see. Note that the name of the town was misspelled on the napkin, it shows there as Brown Mills.

The record itself is VG+, as is the UA sleeve.  The napkin is somewhat crumpled; I found it at the bottom of a box of 45s that I purchased recently.  The record is possibly unplayed, but it has some scuffs, and there are marks on the record from when he signed the outer sleeve caused by pressure through the paper.

Thank you for looking!
