Description

 This is an original 7in Master Cut pressing of Joe Cocker's 1969 smash hit version of the Beatles Little Help From My Friends. It was given to me by my father, Muff Winwood. Formerly of the Spencer Davis Group, Winwood was working as A&R at Island Records when Cocker recorded Little Help From My Friends for them, which is how he kept the test pressing. Joe Cocker went on the perform the song at Woodstock and achieved No. 1 in the charts with this song. During recording in London Cocker used to stay at my parents house in Suburbia, and comments on my mums home cooked Shepherds Pie in his autobiography!

There are recordings on both sides, not sure what is on the b-side - or whether the a-side is the version that ended up being released. There is no sticker or notes on the b-side. It has been played over the years, and also moved about without being protected properly. There are some scratches and scuffs on the a-side, although not enough to make it un-playable. There is a small chip on the very edge of the b-side, slightly showing the metal underneath, the metal is coated with shellac - as with all test pressings.
