Description
Auction is for a RARE ORIGINAL U.S. FIRST PRESSING of THE MAX ROACH QUINTET & ART BLAKEY'S BAND'S "NEW SOUNDS" 10" LP on Blue Note Records (Cat. #BN 5010). True original first press of this early Blue Note classic with Lexington address on back cover/labels and 'ear' in dead wax. Cover has light ring and shelf wear, small 1/2" of wear on both top/bottom seams at jacket opening with the bottom one beginning to split (again only 1/2") and name written in blue pen on front cover at top right above catalogue number (see photo). Name in pen also on both labels. Vinyl has some light scuffing and a few hairlines but overall in very nice shape retaining its original gloss. Both cover and vinyl grade a solid/conservative VG+... a very nice copy!
Condition of the Cover/Vinyl is VG+ / VG+.
