Some words on this issue: THOMPSON, MAYO: “Gorky’s Debt to his Father” (Drag City) Drag City’s 1st issue of 1994. An all time classic neuro-stunner of a disc. There where Thompson’s previous work had fractured the human heart so far that Red Krayola were accused of being a cheap and amateur art school prank, the material on this disc is even more daring the atonal bashings of his combo. Starting of with The Lesson, it already alludes at the regions the album will wade through at knee-length - guilt, obsession, depraved lust and indulgence. “I held your little breast in my hand, and I kept my eyes on your knee. I was breathless when you crawled in the door, and gasped when you sat on my lap.” That’s Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita for you through the eyes of an acid flashback plagued Texan dessert rat. “You parted your legs with a smile...” Originally released by the label Texas Revolution. compact Dadaist poems distilled into a half-hour of personal confessions. One of the greatest discs ever made without a single doubt.

Excellent: record has hardly no visible defects and is preserved with care and attention, the condition most collectors take pride in to file away. Near Mint: a dash below mint, just perfect. Mint: like new.
