A vital new pressing from Bronx hip-hop innovator MC G.L.O.B.E., one of the original voices of electro-rap and a founding member of Soul Sonic Force. 'The Beat Don't Stop' is the centrepiece here-pure 1984 energy, with a giddy DMX groove and scratch samples from the World Famous Supreme Team intro that instantly set the tone. The original version sits alongside a battery of remixes that each nod to the era in different ways: Egyptian Lover goes full west coast 808 sleaze, Bsidewinsagain brings the breaks into focus, while Jimmy Green and Noel Watson strip it down to club essentials. The dub version from DJ PowerCut is pure system fodder-boiling over with reverb and feedback. Bookended by playful interludes and built on production from Control & Laz-E, this seven-track 12" serves as both a history lesson and a celebration of hip-hop's electro foundations. Bronx to the bone.
