Description

The fabulous 2nd album by MC5 - Back In The USA. The original 1970 pressing on Atlantic Records (SD8247). Purchased new by me in the early 70's from a record shop in Dover, where I was at school. The rectangular cut-out in the top left hand corner indicates the fact that it was an Import, unavailable in this country. The "29" in the top right hand corner is in Letraset and was to tell me that it was No.29 in the Top 100 LP's of all time as judged by the NME journalists in 1974. The NME cuttings were written by the inimitable Charles Shaar Murray, extolling the virtues of the band, possibly the Godfathers of Punk. Although it was eventually re-released I believe this original pressing to be very rare. Both LP and cover are in very good condition.
