MC5 - Kick Out The Jams b/w Motor City Is Burning (Cat MC5/1) on Elektra from 1968
Preview Pressing For Brothers And Sisters Of The MC5
Complementary single to be given away to those attending the "Elektra free concert" for MC 5 at the Fillmore East, 26 Dec 1968.
A limited pressing (perhaps 500 copies), not many survived the ensuing melee into which the free concert metamorphosed. According to Rob Tyner, "As the band members made their way toward the cars Elektra had sent to ferry them back to their hotel, the crowd's verbal abuse crossed the line into physical ugliness. They angrily showered the vehicles with rocks, debris, and the 45s that had been given away at the show."
The vinyl grades VG+, with wear to labels (understandable given the riot that occured!) Own a piece of History!!!
