Description
You are bidding on: MC5 - Kick out the Jams - Elektra # EKS 74042. USA pressing. Matrix numbers are "EKS-74042-A/EKS-74042-B".
Very heavy card stock was used for this g/fold sleeve which has a very wide spine measuring 1/4 inch and inside g/fold are printed the liner notes from Sinclair incl. the line that says "Kick out the jams, motherfu**er!" This line can also be heard at opening of the title track. No "brothers and sisters" to be heard on this copy. ~ Quite shocking to some people but not as shocking as the amount of red label copies that show up, and worse than that, is the amount of sellers who try and convince you that their red label copies are 1st pressings, just because they may be uncensored. What rubbish!
Label has name neatly printed on 1 side. (see scan).
So, here we have an uncensored pressing on US gold label Elektra with the uncensored liner notes on original wide-spine sleeve and original Elektra printed inner sleeve making it a very FIRST USA pressing, totally complete and an artifact for a museum.
Condition: Sleeve has a bit of wear to seams and edge of spine (not ON the spine itself). Rear panel has clear magic-tape to top & bottom seam which is not easy to see and has not yellowed. Other panel is tape-free. I have taken scan of this.
Disc has many light scuffs and a few light marks. No scratches, and plays great due to the heavy pressing and loudness of music.
Graded: cover/disc = EX/VG. Plays better than that. No reserve. Overseas postage for this lp is approx. US$13.00.
PLEASE READ THIS: I accept Australian Postal Money Orders..and IMO's using Bidpay. I also accept Paypal and cash....well concealed, at buyers risk. Regretably, I usually leave neg. feedback for non-payers...it's true. Thanks!
An important word about my gradings: "M-" is my highest grade. Bid with confidence as I grade strictly, under direct lamplight, NOT room/indirect light as many sellers do. It's not good enough.
