ME & THEM 'I Think I'm Gonna Kill Myself' / 'Feels So Good'

7" Black Vinyl 45 rpm.  UK. 1964

PYE 7N 15596 ADVANCE PROMOTIONAL COPY.

When this promo arrived at the BBC late in 1963 they took a dim view of the title and lyrics of 'I Think I'm Gonna Kill Myself'. PYE we told in no uncertain terms that it would not be played on the BBC. PYE then released 7N 15596 in January 1964 with 'Feels So Good' as the A Side. A great pity, as 'Kill Myself' is a quite brilliant portrayal of teetering on the edge of insanity. Very unusual up-tempo hysteria that could have got to No1.. IMO.

The Pye Company Sleeve is in very good clean condition, but is creased, with 'Feels So Good' written in ink.

Sound: Ex. No sticks, clicks, crackle or jumps. Minimal background on run-in and run-off.

Fair (F) The record - still just playable but with considerable surface noise and occasional jump. The Cover - may be torn, defaced or stained. Poor (P) The record - too scratched to play properly with bad surface noise. The Cover - badly damaged. Bad/Relic The record - unplayable or broken. Useful only as a collectors item. The Cover - disintegrating.
