We are offering for sale an original pressing of the "self-titled" LP by MEAT JOY. This was released in 1984 by Flesh And Blood / ESR Records with no catalog number.
We are play grading the vinyl at a beautiful NM.
The silk-screened cover (all the covers are different) is in generally excellent condition with no seam splits, marks or tears and just a few minor creases. Also includes BOTH inserts in excellent condition with no tears, marks or creases.
The sole record by this band led by Austin legend, Gretchen Phillips. The sound is proto-Riot Grrrrl experimental with additional weirdo-folk stylation and heavy sexual politicization (as would be expected, considering it's named after a Carolee Schneeman piece). This has long been a fave of extreme left-field listeners. Edition of 1500, each with a diff cover. - Byron Coley
