Description
Up for auction is a nice early mono pressing of The Beatles album Meet The Beatles, originally released in the U.S on Capitol Records (T-2047) in 1964:
-Guaranteed early mono pressing, not reissue -Original black 'rainbow" Capitol labels -No "subsidiary" on label rim -Labels have only one BMI song credit
-IAM Scranton triangle in deadwax
-Matrix deadwax reads: -T-2047 P3 -T-2047 G4
-Early RIAA 3 cover
-Original and correct blue Capitol inner sleeve -Original paste-down cover -No UPC/bar code on cover -Heavy inflexible vinyl
-Vinyl comes in poly audiophile inner sleeve
Note: This copy is the rare 2nd Variation that has only one BMI song credit on the labels. This version had a very limited run before the most common 3rd Variation with two BMI credits.
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition. These black covers were very prone to wear, but this one has only very light signs of wear or age. No ring wear, and seams are great, no wear or cracking. Corners are very good. White edges are white not age discolored like most copies. Back looks clean, no ring wear, just a little rub. A very well-preserved nice copy.
Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies
Vinyl is also very nice, still retains much of its original glossy shine. Both sides show a number of light, superficial marks and a couple small needle marks, but nothing serious, nothing that should affect the quality of playback. Labels are clean, unmarked, spindle holes look nice, no significant spindle wear. Looks like this record has been played a number of times previously but handled with care.
Spot Play-Tested: I have spot play-tested this record, the sound quality is excellent, just a light amount of pressing noise on the run-in grooves that fades out once the music kicks in. True full-bodied mono fidelity, no significant distractions.

How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
