Here is where beatlemania first began! Capitol mistakenly issued Meet The Beatles without publisher credits, but very quickly corrected that error, making Meet The Beatles! as offered here a true rarity. And yes, BOTH Lp's are this label rarity, a mono and a stereo version! Collectors are realizing these 1st issue labels are getting very tough to find in any condition. Truly collector's items, please see the pictures. The stereo Lp is scratchy but I was able to play it, typically well below my standards but being this label is SOOOO... rare I'd think a collector would want it for that. To be safe I'll call it G to G-. The stereo output was super low for this 1st no credit Lp as almost all of America was still bopping to HiFi mono, and would be for years on! The cover to this Lp is really quite nice, w/ a little dent on bottom and Marlene's name in green on back, seams 90 percent intact, 3 on back, correct blue inner sleeve. Looks nice. I have a higher end table w/ seperate tone arm, it played and actually sounded better that expected, I tell you up front I cannot guarantee your results will be the same, equipment quality and stylus type varies a lot, so this may not play as good for you.
Next is The Mono Version of this rare 1st issue No BMI / No ASCAP label, also a true rarity, scarce, the Lp is better than the stereo version, I'll call it G++, the cover not as good having some rippling from dampness many yrs ago but hear this: It does not smell, not mildewy or anything, I have had these for my own and it's hard to let them go. Very difficult to get a mono and a stereo at the same time! As rare as the mono is, the Stereo is almost impossible to find!
