TITLE: “MEET THE BEATLES” (Capitol T-2047 – Mono)

COVER: SCRANTON #2 with BROWN LETTERING on front & no Martin credit on back.

RECORD:  SCRANTON PRESSING with “IAM  SYMBOL” in trail-off area.

LABELS: EAST COAST PRESSING with 3 songs credited to BMI.

You’re looking at a gorgeous copy of this historic 45 YEAR OLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $150.00!  Here are the conditions:

ALBUM COVER:  (NEAR MINT) A beautiful example of this historic 45 YEAR OLD ALBUM COVER. (SEE IMAGES.)
Front: The front cover slick is in fantastic condition.  The white parts along the edges and at the top are as bright and clean as can be. The photo of the Beatles looks great with only the slightest hint of ring wear starting to show on the right side of the image, and a small wrinkle above Ringo’s right ear that’s hard to see if you’re not looking for it.   (SEE IMAGES.)

Back: (East Coast #2 near RIAA symbol & no George Martin credit.) The rear cover is just as good as the front. The bright white background shows absolutely no sign of ring wear.  There is some nearly invisible yellowing along the spine that can only be seen up close. There are also a few small creases near the spine at the bottom right corner.  As far as the text and images go, they’re all super sharp and completely void of any man made marks, smudges or signs of wear. The only flaws showing on them are a few small white printing errors on the album title and one on Paul’s chest.  These shortcomings are minor and do little to take away from what is still a really great looking rear cover that is hard to find in this kind of condition.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Seams: The top and bottom seams are super solid and show absolutely no hint of a split.  There are some tiny red marks on the bottom seam near the spine.  The images may not show it, but these are the best looking seams I’ve ever had on one of these early pressings, and I’ve had a lot of them.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Open Edge: Just a small ding on the top corner.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Spine: A nearly perfect spine with just two microscopic corner dings. (SEE IMAGES.)

VINYL:  (NEAR MINT)  A beautiful sounding example of this historic 45 YEAR OLD RECORD ALBUM. (SEE IMAGES.)
Record: Play tested.  No skips. Has some minor surface scuffs & the occasional light pop which do not affect its play.  Still has a lot of its original luster.  This well-preserved Mono record is a treat to listen to.
Labels: Both labels look really great with only some small spindle marks.  (SEE IMAGES.)
Sleeve: Has original light blue East Coast Capitol sleeve (12 TC-1) in really nice condition with no splits at all.  (The record will be shipped inside a new generic sleeve in order to protect the original sleeve.)
