Description
Mick Farren: “Mona – The Carnivorous Circus”
On offer here is a VERY rare LP by Mick Farren, founder of the legendary [Social] Deviants called “The Carnivorous Circus”
It was Mick Farren’s first solo release and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the very collectable “Transatlantic” label.
Farren recalls that “I was crazy when I did Mona” really mentally ill.
Maybe he should get “mentally ill” more often because this record is absolutely BRILLIANT.
As well as the music there are montages of song and spoken word, featuring an interview with a Hells Angel, Steve Took [Yes! It’s the same Steve] recounting time he spent in the ‘slammer’.
The cello on “Mona” was provided by Paul Buckmaster – “This Is The Best Part” explodes an excited Farren.
