Dr. Strangely Strange: “Kip Of The Serenes”
On offer here is a VERY rare LP indeed (especially in this condition!!) by Dr. Strangely Strange called “Kip Of The Serenes”
Presented here is the ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the extremely collectable “Island” eye label.
Dr. Strangely Strange were an experimental Irish folk group formed in Dublin in 1967 by Tim Booth and Ivan Pawle who where soon to be joined by Tim Goulding.
The consensus at the time was that they were an Irish version of The Incredible Band, which in my opinion, was nonsense.
The Strangelies were the Strangelies and the Incredibles were the Incredibles – nuff said.
Having said that, guess what?
Dr. Strangely Strange were to to appear on the Incredible String Band’s “Changing Horses” album, also from 1969.

Vinyl: NM- : Side 1 track #1 have half inch scratch which
creates very faint clicks but no skips, the rest looks ?plays Near Mint!! Side2: NM
Jacket: NM : Beautiful Jacket made by Ernest J. Day & Co.
Earth Wave grades its records very conservatively, pursuant to the following standard.
Near Mint: (NM): Record has some inconsequential flaws or blemishes but plays perfectly. Covers should still be close to perfect with minor signs of age or wear becoming evident.
Mint Minus: (M-) Record have more visual imperfections and may have faintly discernable imperfection in audio. Covers might have more visible signs of wear (ie, slight ring wear and denting, etc..).
Very Good Plus Plus: (VG++) Record is visually lesser condition than M-. The disc usually has many fine hairlines and paper scuffs. Actual play is close to M-. Covers on VG++ albums may have more visible wear such as heavy ring wear and split seams.
