MEL TORME It’s A Blue World album was recorded for the tiny Cayre/Bethlehem label.  Packed with great songs!  You’d expect a songwriter of Mel Torme’s ability to be able to choose a well-written song, and here “The Velvet Fog” pulls songs from under the pen of P.G. Wodehouse, Duke Ellington, Rodgers & Hart, Jimmy Van Heusen, and Ira & George Gershwin!

The music was conducted by Al Pellegrini and arranged by the great Andre Previn.  Liner notes by legendary newspaperman Ralph Gleason.
