Description
Flibbertigibbet: "Whistling Jigs To The Moon" 1978, South Africa/Stanyan 3EE 7002. Disc has some little hairlines from the dusty inner sleeve, plays M-, it gets an EX grade. Cover looks M- from the front, but as there's a top center seam split, several structural tears at the pocket opening and the back side is moderately soiled, it gets a Fair grade to my eye. The guy I bought it from graded it "EX" so keep in mind I'm stricter than most. Has the printed inner sleeve. Incredibly rare South African folk/prog LP by David and Alison Williams, formerly of Mellow Candle! Pretty good players on this LP, too so even though the material tends to be more traditional than the intense progressive rock territory that Mellow Candle tread, it's definitely worthy of your attention. They thank Robin Williamson straight away in the credits... was he involved? And who's the Dave Lambert credited with playing on this LP? Is there really a South African issue of Mellow Candle on unboxed red Decca with an extra track? What other secrets is the dark continent hiding?
