You are bidding on the extremely rare 7 inch 45 RPM vinyl record by Melvin Brown & James Matthews titled LOVE STORMY WEATHER b/w SOUL MAN. 

This is the original pressing on the Dayton, Ohio label Philmore Sound (6071-21A).  Three cheers for my hometown!   :-)

The record appears on JOHN MANSHIP'S "Rarest Of The Rare" list of 7 inch 45 records.

***PLEASE NOTE***  Reserve price is a reasonable amount based on previous auctions and other similar sources. 

The vinyl is still nice & glossy.  A closer look shows quite a few superficial sleeve marks/scuffs but no scratches.  Both sides of the record play nicely with only minimal cracking in the quiet segments of songs.  The fidelity is very nice with no "topping out" of either the vocals or the instruments.  My experience has been that this normally means the record has received little play and/or stylus wear.  I would visually grade the vinyl as VG+ and sound grade it as EX.    

As you can see from the photos the labels are absolutely gorgeous - no writing, no ring wear, etc.   My photos make them a little lighter than their actual bright pink color.  I would grade the labels as NM. 

All in all - a very nice copy of an extremely hard-to-find 7 inch record.

I have received a couple of questions about the record that I would like to share with interested bidders:

1) DEAD WAX/RUNOUT SPACE INFORMATION: on the A side there is a circled 2 immediately followed by 607121A, a small space then QCA, another small space and then MF.  On the flip side there is the same information with the letter B replacing the A at the end of the number string.  On the B side there is also some type of squiggly marking that is not readable (and obviously never was intended to be).

2) SOUND SAMPLE: Unfortunately I do not have the capability to provide a sample.  My apologies for that.
