Hello everyone!
Welcome to my auction!
Up for bid today is a VG copy of Melvins Houdini Vinyl LP from 1993 still in the shrink wrap.
This has been in my collection for almost 10 years. A white whale for me back then!
Years ago I ran into a sealed copy because I wanted a MINTY fresh copy of Houdini. Well....guess what, the sealed copy I opened really doesn't look too much different from this one. That stupid black plastic baggy sleeve they used puts a lot of surface marks on the record. I replaced that black one with a MOFI rice paper sleeve.
Record is a conservative VG and the sleeve is NM in the shrink with a promo saw cut in the upper left corner.
This copy has minor to moderate surface marks throughout. Like I said, in hindsight, I should have saved my money and kept this one.
Not too much difference between this copy and the sealed copy I opened to replace it. Oh well, my loss is your gain.
This one still plays LOUD!!!! Maybe some minor inner groove distortion, if anything. Still a great copy on this very "condition sensitive" piece. Trust me, I've had some really really bad copies of Houdini in the past!
