Description

This is a RARE piece of art by none other than Buzz Osborne, known as King Buzzo of the Melvins. Here's the story: I got a V.I.P. invite to the pre-show for this event and got there early (2 hours before it opened to the public there were 30-40 people outside waiting in the nearly sub-zero weather, when I left there were hundreds); as soon as I got there I spotted Buzz and asked him why he was there. He said it was because he had a piece in this show (basically Iggy and the Stooges stuff-they were all there). He pointed it out in the back corner and I bought it immediately. He told me that the gallery wanted to sell it for $500! The reserve is half that. It is a multi -media, painted, studded and laminated 16" x 15" x 3/4" piece of aged and weathered wood, with metal "scales" nailed on it.  It is titled "COOL" and it definitely is! Postcard for the " Fun House Art Show" show included. The poster for the show was done by Niagara of Destroy All Monsters who put on the show, check my other auctions for a full sized framed and autographed (by the Stooges, they only signed 15 copies!) poster for this art show.
