Description
WDIA 12" STUDIO-RECORDED ACETATE DATED 10-26-55Condition: VG+ Well-preserved and very stable appearing-NO peeling or condition issues. Rare, likely one-of-a-kind.
Material: Martin Temple CME Junior and another choir sings several gospel selections and includes advertisements for Gold Medal flour and saving coupons for flatware. Announcer Williams solicits other church groups to participate in this series of gospel music.
Announcer is the famous Andrew (A.C.) “Moohah” Williams (7 December 1916 – 3 December 2004) musician, songwriter and a radio personality at WDIA Radio in Memphis. He is buried in New Park Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee. In 1949, A.C. “Moohah” Williams was a high school biology teacher at Manassas High School in Memphis.
