For this LP, as we 're talking about a rare and unique collector's item the only available shipping option is
Recorded Airmail, offered at a single price to anywhere in the world (apart from the countries to which I do not ship
parcels of course) and that price is 20EUR or 26USD. There will be absolutely no exceptions as I wish to deal with
serious collectors only!
And now for the description:
This is an original 1984 test-pressing for Mercyful Fate's 'Don't Break The Oath' album, courtesy of Music For Nations.
It was produced by MPO for MFN but exact date or where this was pressed are facts not known.
After consulting the excellent Mercyful Fate website (under the 'Test Pressings' part of it - for more info
point your web browser to Mercyful Fate ) I am hereby
offering you, the Mercyful Fate collector, the chance to lay your hands on an absolute M.F. treasure!
The site states that there's only 1(!!!!!!) known copy of this item, which is photographed and filed on the site; well,
this is only the second known copy in existence then!!!
All info found on the site match this copy I have here. To put this short, this test pressing has a different matrix on
Side B than the one for the finished product ( 'MFN 28 B^' for the test pressing and 'MFN 28 B2 ty' for the normal edition)
and also features a different mix of the songs.
The only this that is missing is the testpress proof sleeve that can be seen on the site. But I don't think this is a
good enough reason to stop you from obtaining this. We are talking about a massive rarity here, an once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to enrich your Mercyful Fate collection. Don't pass this up...
The vinyl has some very light markings on it, really minor stuff. The labels are very clean.
