Description
Art Blakey- Message From Blakey - Holiday For Skins Volume 2 BLP 4005
This is an original Blue Note Plastilyte 1st mono pressing with all the required criteria for a first pressing. RVG and plastilyte "ear" and deep groove both sides. Label is absent of "Inc" and "R" on both sides bearing the 47 W 63rd - NYC address (see photos).
Record and sleeve are both in great condition. Side 1 of the record I can confidently put at NM. It is flawless, no marks seen by my eye under bright florescent light, with the exception of unavoidable light sleeve marks which you will find on every record. Side 2 has a few light marks, not visible to my eyes unless very bright light is raking across the vinyl. I would confidently grade side 2 at EX or VG++, in line with several other records I've purchased in this condition. The jacket would be NM if not for a 3 inch light split right in the center of the spine and the same along the top. (see photos)
I have played this record all the way through and it plays perfectly. Surface noise is pretty much non-existent. The music was the only thing I heard playing this disc on my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon table. You'd be hard pressed to find another copy of this that plays as good or even looks as good as this.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Shipping will be done in a professional manner that fully protects the record.
Good luck and happy bidding!
