A lot of firsts here. The first release on Metal Blade records (MBR 1001) from 1982, the first version of this album and the first vinyl release from METALLICA with their first line up.  The band is spelled METTALLICA here and the line up not only includes Dave Mustaine, but Lloyd Grant on guitar when Hetfield was only singing. The band re-recorded their version of "Hit the Lights" for the repressing.  Also exclusively here is STEELER (replaced on subsequent pressings by BLACK N BLUE) before Yngwie Malmsteen joined them and an earlier line up of RATT, who were also excluded from later pressings. You can see the wear in the photos. There is a crease along the upper left corner and some album wear on the front and back top. The outer edges are a bit worn, but not torn anywhere. The inner sleeve is plain white and is perfectly in tact. The album is in really excellent shape. A few fingerprints on the label and a couple of marks on the vinyl. Otherwise very, very clean.  A truly rare opportunity to own one of the most singular items in metal history.
