Howdy, this auction is for the following original 12";
METALLICA - `The $5.98 E.P. Garage Days Re-Revisited`
this is the Elektra Records / Allied Record Company white label test press of this classic E.P. from 1987, what makes this test pressing significantly different to the normal Elektra tests is that unlike the other eleven known titles this is the ONLY one NOT pressed by Specialty Records, the matrix detail show this to be true as it has additional details not on the Specialty pressings test or commercial, it also has handwritten details on the label unlike the specialty ones. the handwritten label makes no mention of the E.P`s pre-title `The $5.98 E.P.` as that was added later to stop shops from selling it at a higher price, their is another copy of this test from the Allied Record Company pressing plant with stickers on the lables that also miss this pre-title, the current location of that version is unknown. the record condition is vg++ or a touch less, this appears to have been in someones collection and has been played 15-20 times maybe, this comes housed in a standard usa sleeve - probably added by a previous owner. if you have any questions let me know and i`ll get back to you within a day or so
