This copy is gorgeous. The vinyl sounds warm on your turntable and the sleeve looks like it came out of a time machine. 
Ride the Lightning is the 2nd Metallica album. It was released on July 27, 1984, by the independent record label Megaforce Records. The album was recorded in three weeks with producer Flemming Rasmussen at the Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The studio was chosen because James Hetfield and Lars were huge fans of "Don't Break The Oath" by Mercyful Fate - which had been recorded at the same studio. It was also the last album to feature material written by ex-Metallica member / Megadeth guitarist Dave Mustaine, and the first to feature contributions from, Kirk Hammett (slow/mosh part of "Creeping Death").
Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are the 2 favorite albums to fans that love the thrash period of Metallica as to the more punk influenced Kill 'Em All and the more commercial hard rock stylings of "The Black Album" (featuring "Enter Sandman" etc).

All Vinyl is packed as follows: 1. In professional ford cardboard mailer. 2. Are bubble wrapped. 3. Include an extra plastic protective sleeve. 4. Have a cardboard protective sleeves on side of the record. 4. Include cardboard protective sleeves on bottom and top of the package 5. The record is removed from the jacket for shipping and placed in the plastic sleeve. 6. All shipments are marked with fragile stickers.

So, there is no confusion  - this is the 2nd pressing on Elektra, licensed from Megaforce (look at the labels on the LP) - first pressing Electra - if that makes any sense - just like in the pictures
