Metallica's The Good the Bad & the Live, the legendary Limited Edition boxed set of 12" vinyl singles released at the height of their success, containing good quality reproductions of their first few years of singles, a mixture of album, live, and non-album tracks (track listing see below): Jump in the Fire, Creeping Death, The $5.98 EP (Garage Days Revisited), Harvester of Sorrow, One, and The 6.5 Year Anniversary Live EP.
This boxed set contains the above listed six 12" singles, an outer slip box, and a folded poster. With 1 or 2 tracks per side the audio quality is excellent, and these have only been played 2 or 3 times since I purchased the set in 1990. Outer box shows some wear/scuffs although that is most likely as purchased, as I have kept this set in a clear plastic protective bag for the last three decades. Each single sleeve is in excellent condition, the vinyl records showing specs of dust or very minor sleeve related marks. As I say these have had very little play, and with tracks like Harvester of Sorrow and Creeping Death taking up a single side of an entire vinyl record each and played at 45 rpm, these sound powerful, heavy and clear. As these are vinyl, some surface noise may be likely of course.
Note that the sticker that came on the outer packet has been retained, placed just inside the outer slipbox (see last picture).
Reluctantly I have decided to sell, this set is for the serious Metallica fan or music collector. Any questions let me know.
