Bizet Carmen / Georg Solti
Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Original Master Recording 3-LP Box Set
RARE MFSL 3-530 Audiophile Pressing
Limited Edition Low #1012

Three (3) MFSL virgin vinyl LPs, jackets, all original MFSL inserts, lavish booklet, and MFSL sleeves are in beautiful Mint- (Near Mint, our highest grade for an opened item!) condition.  I am the original owner. The LPs were play tested one time only on a high end (Sota) system with a MicroBenz Ruby III Reference cartridge. LPs sound and looks like new, with beautiful and rich audiophile quality sound!  The only imperfection I can see is a small mark on the upper left of the back of the box (see photo).

This set has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve in a smoke & pet-free, climate controlled home.

NOTE: Whiteness in picture along the top edge of box is reflection from flash. Box itself is gorgeous!

This is my favorite performance of Carmen, surpassing even the legendary Callas/Gedda, De Los Angeles/Beecham, and Berganza/Abbado recordings. Troyanos has JUST the right voice for this role, Domingo is even stronger here than he is in the awesome Abbado recording, and Solti's conducting is superb. The London/Decca recording team did an awesome job, and Stan Ricker did a stunning job mastering these discs from the original master session tapes. Mobile Fidelity also did a superb job constructing a lavish box set, and of course pressing GORGEOUS sounding LPs with dead silent surfaces!!!
