AUDIOPHILE CLOSET CLEANING SALE. I AM WILL BE CLEANING OUT MANY ITEMS THAT HAVEN'T SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY FOR YEARS. This is the Mobile Fidelity pressing of the album by Hank Crawford titled "Soul Of The Ballad" (MFSL 1-224). It is one of the albums that Mobile Fidelity put out on 200 gram vinyl, almost the same weight as the UHQR series. Only 5000 copies were made of the UHQR titles, far less were were pressed of this title, probably only about 2500 or so. JVC had minimum pressing runs that they would do, but with the Anadisc series they could press as many, or as few as they wanted. This one has a low serial number of 0141. It is a beautiful copy with no splits or tears in the gatefold jacket. The vinyl appears to be unplayed, with no marks on the record, and no spindle marks on the labels. The photo is of the actual album for sale. This is a great sounding album, originally recorded in 1957 on Verve records. .........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
