Description

The L.A. 4's 'Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte'(East Wind  EW-10003) is simply one of the most perfectly recorded jazz Lps of all time...Recorded in October of 1976 at Warner Bros. Studios in California, this album is considered by many audiophiles as a 'reference' disc to highlight and expose the strength and weaknesses of a well set-up sound system.  It also happens to contain some exceptional music featuring Ray Brown, Bud Shank, Shelly Manne among others. Employing a state-of-the-art 'Direct to Disk' cutting system and pressed in Japan, I have yet to meet someone who hasn't been blown away after one listen to this record. A truly legendary album and an audiophile tour-de-force.
