Description
Up for auction is the MFSL release of Rickie Lee Jones' self titled debut, half-speed mastered from the Original Master Tapes, specially plated and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan, catalog # MFSL 1-089. The vinyl is in "Mint-" with one very faint scratch mark on side 1 of the record. There are a few small spindle marks on each label. The Lp still retains the beautiful brilliant sheen of a New record. The cover is in good conditon with some small blemishes, including some lifting of the cover, in the form of an elongated bubble. (Photos will be posted shortly), and a little bit of ink worn off in some small areas on the fron left side of the cover. There is a tiny ding in the top right corner of the cover, where a tiny 1/32" seam split is on the edge of the cover. (For the discerning collector, I have abailable a new cover for this Lp. This extra cover was stored at MFSL's Sebastopol warehouse.The replacement cover is available for an additional $45.00. The replacement cover has some minor blemishes, but is the only known cover to circulate without an Lp, Photos can be sent in advance before payment is made.) This cover is highly sought after due to several test pressings that have circulated. (Test pressings never came with the original covers). This Lp is one of the most difficult MFSL titles to find, certainly in the top five, of all MFSL vinyl manufactured. The winning bidder will pay $5.50 for U.S. Mail's "media mail" service, including full insurance . The Lp will be mailed in a sturdy Lp mailer.
