Description

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has been the undisputed pioneer and leader in audiophile recordings since the company's inception in 1977. Established by dedicated audiophiles, Mobile Fidelity's first and foremost goal was to offer faithfully reproduced high fidelity recordings that would compliment the numerous advances occurring in audio delivery systems. Throughout its history, Mobile Fidelity has remained true to this goal, pioneering state-of-the-art technologies and setting audiophile standards that remain in place today.

MFSL 1-005, Supertramp's, "Crime of the Century" was one of the first recordings to be released by Mobile Fidelity in 1978. This is a sealed copy, the wrapping shows some signs of 26 years of wear, but the album jacket itself is in NM+ condition. I have an open copy that I have played many years ago to my full enjoyment. So I know that if you were to break the seal and listen to this classic in a setting that it deserves, read "LOUD", and use the best equipment you got, you will be blown away! Especially with classic songs like "School", "Right, Bloody well right", "Crime of the Century", and my personal favorite, "Rudy".

In terms of a well produced, professionally mastered and engineered recording of the mid-seventies, this is one of the finest examples you could ever own.
